Due to the constantly growing complexity of the water treatment business, the companies of Sander Holding emerged over the years.
The tasks of the individual companies were specifically divided and the following areas of activity were created: device manufacture (Erwin Sander Elektroapparatebau GmbH, since 1961), planning and engineering (Sander Aqua Design GmbH, since 2003), installation and construction supervision (Sander Aquatec GmbH, since 2003), the sale of turnkey aquaculture systems (neomar GmbH, since 2012), and the production of shrimp (Förde Garnelen GmbH, since 2014).

Since 1961, Erwin Sander Elektroapparatebau GmbH has been involved in the manufacture and development of innovative products for water treatment systems in the fields of industrial, aquaria and aquaculture. Sander products are operated all over the world, and in different areas of application. Service is important to us. Sanders team is available to our customers to take into account all aspects in the planning, design and operation of our products and thus to ensure optimal functionality.

Sander Aqua Design GmbH
Sander Aqua Design GmbH was established by Mr. Martin Sander in 2003. Since then, the company Sander Aqua Design GmbH has been involved with a number of projects all over the world, regarding the planning and engineering of public aquaria, life support systems, ponds, recirculating system for fish and shrimp farming, depuration systems, and other specific applications, in fresh, brackish, and seawater.

Sander Aquatec GmbH
Established in 2003, the company Sander Aquatec GmbH, with his team of engineers, technicians, and assembly operators, has been installing water treatment systems in all kind of areas of application. Our business activities comprise site management, construction engineering, positioning of the components and installation of the complete system. The initial start-up can be done when all components of the water treatment system have been installed and the equipment has been connected hydraulically and electrically. The preconditions on site, e.g., the water and electrical power supply must be ready. In the course of the commissioning the staff will get a detailed training for the operation of the system. The optimal, and above all, the safe performance of the water treatment system for many years will be guaranteed by the regular maintenance and safety check of the installed components by our technicians. Service is very important for us: If required we will be ready to assist you with technical support.

neomar GmbH
The company neomar GmbH designs and implements closed recirculating aquaculture systems for fish and shrimp farming. The oceanloop® recirculating system, offers since 2012 an innovative technology which enables the production of marine fish and shrimp in any location. The oceanloop® technology is the result of a long-term research and development process, supported by scientific studies and the testing of different technologies.

Förde Garnelen
The company Förde Garnelen produces the marine shrimp species „White Tiger“ in the small town of Strande at the Kiel Bay in the North of Germany. Seawater from the Baltic Sea is heated up to 28 °C with industrial waste heat. In approx. six months the shrimps have reached a weight of approx. 30 g and are ready to harvest. A novel technology is used to recirculate and clean the seawater over time. The filtered shrimp excretions are re-cycled in a biogas production system, to produce electricity and heating energy. This way of re-cycling materials and energy allows an environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Sander celebrates its 60th company anniversary
When Erwin Sander dared to start up his own business back in 1961, no one could have guessed what an innovative and high-performance company would result from it. We look to the past with full gratitude and to the future with full confidence and motivation. We have used our anniversary as an opportunity to work more intensively on our visions and strategies for the future. Thereby, a new internally and externally visual appearance was generated.
